Micah Bernardy
Owner & Founder
From Police Officer to Business Owner — Built on a Foundation of Service
I started Bernardy Lighting in 2019 while I was still serving as a police officer in the DFW area. I always had an entrepreneurial drive — growing up, I watched business owners around me build something of their own, and that always stuck with me. Law enforcement gave me the stability and discipline to launch the business the right way, without cutting corners.
In 2023, I made the leap. I left the department and went all-in — building a full team of qualified technicians who I personally supervise on every project. That hands-on approach didn’t change when the business grew. It’s still the same standard I held myself to on day one.
The people who inspired me to start this business are still part of my life today — mentors and entrepreneurs I turn to for guidance as we keep growing. That community means everything to me.
What Drives Everything We Do
I’m a family man. And I know our clients are too. That means I treat every home like it’s my own — with care, respect, and a commitment to doing things right the first time.
🛡️Integrity First
My background in law enforcement shaped how I run this business. We do what we say, we show up when we say, and we never cut corners on your property.
👨👩👧Family-Run Business
We understand our clients have families and budgets. Our goal is always to deliver excellent results at a fair price — not the highest price we can get away with.
🔧Owner-Led Oversight
Projects are completed under owner-led standards and supervision, with involvement matched to the project scope. When you hire Bernardy Lighting, you get my standards — not a crew working unsupervised on your property.
📍Rooted in DFW
We’re not a franchise or a call center company. We live here, serve here, and care about the reputation we build in this community every single day.
